Affiliate Summit Corporation vs. Sales Online, LLC

by Shawn Collins on August 22, 2014

Over the last few weeks, I’ve received a number of alerts from Affiliate Summit attendees regarding several unscrupulous parties seeking to sell product and services by cold-calling and spamming companies whose names appeared on our “attending company”, “speaker” and “exhibitor and sponsor” pages.

To be clear, Affiliate Summit does not rent, share, or sell your contact information or other personal information to any third parties for their use. Affiliate Summit’s privacy policy is available at

lawsuitThe tens of thousands of people who have attended our conferences rely on our practice of protecting their privacy and we take that very seriously.

We refuse to allow any company to get away with impersonating and/or trading on our brand in order to trick our attendees into 1) divulging their personal information and/or 2) purchasing products or services related to our conferences from companies we have not vetted or authorized.

With that in mind, we are actively filing federal lawsuits to stop these underhanded companies.

Affiliate Summit Corporation vs. Sales Online, LLC

This week, we have provided Sales Online, LLC with a draft of  Affiliate Summit Corporation vs. Sales Online, LLC Complaint and Application for Injunctive Relief which will be filed should they not comply with our Cease and Desist.

We will also be maintaining a database of companies that Affiliate Summit has filed suit against for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Infringement of Federally Registered Trademark
  • Dilution by Tarnishment of Federally Registered Trademark
  • Misappropriation
  • Unfair Competition
  • Libel
  • Business Disparagemeent
  • Tortious Interference with Contract and Prospective Business Relations

We will be announcing several more lawsuits in the next week.

If you receive a solicitation from a company representing that they have an “Affiliate Summit” attendee list — or say that they’re selling something on behalf of “Affiliate Summit” please let me know so that we can stop them.

Thank you to our attendees who have reached out to us and provided us with the information we needed.  You’re all awesome.
